Boiler Cap O-Ring

The Argos has 2 boiler cap versions. Look at the lugs on the bottom of your boiler cap and compare with pictures here to determine which boiler cap you have.

Batch 1 Boiler Caps

Batch 1 (one piece) boiler caps have the locking lugs offset from the bottom and use the thinner (34mm x 2.5mm) o-ring. If a batch 1 boiler cap is experiencing leaks while under pressure then its likely due the o-ring being worn over time.

Batch 2 Boiler Caps

Batch 2 (two piece) boiler caps have the locking lugs flush with the bottom and the standard (34.59mm x 2.62mm) o-ring by default. If a batch 2 boiler cap is experiencings leaks while under pressure then the screw on the back can be used to tighten the compression on the o-ring so that there is more sealing pressure. If even after full tightening the boiler cap leaks then the thicker (34mm x 3mm) o-ring can be used (uncommon but possible).
